I was hoping it was going to be a great experience since it’s so close to home and we were able to get away from the kids for the evening for the first time in a long time but unfortunately it was not. At that point I was over everything and we decided to go ahead and head home. Then over in the casino the next morning, I put $40 into a penny machine and the very first spin was $20?!! How does that even happen.
I know stuff happens but it’s disappointing that we paid $170 and didn’t even get to go into our room until 5 hours after we were supposed to be able to check in. Around 7:30pm I got a got call that said our room was now ready so by the time we actually got in, it was 8pm. He said no but I’ll have my manager call you when it’s ready. He told me no there wasn’t so I asked if he knew how much longer it was going to be.
When the guy who was working the front desk answered he told me that it wasn’t ready yet with an attitude that got worse when I asked if there were any other rooms available. We went ahead and went back to town to get something to eat and before driving back out to Zia Park I called to check the status since it was already 7:15pm and I hadn’t heard anything back yet. We arrived about 6pm and was told that our room was not ready yet so we would be called when it was. Check in time on the confirmation email I received said 3pm but that was wrong.
